Signatories for a new installation certificate

A new installation has a designer, constructor, tester and qualifying supervisor.  These may be the same organisation or difference organisations.  Each of these organisations contribute to the installation and need to certify the final installation certificate.

The responsibilities are set in the new installation certificate basic information page- a screenshot of the section for  setting the responsibilities in the Basic Information page is shown below :

EDIS provides two scenarios:n a) Where the design, construction, inspection, testing and qualifying supervisor is the responsibility of a) ONE person and b) MORE THAN ONE person

TWO SCENARIOS FOR THE SIGN OFF

SCENARIO  1-  Design, construction, inspection, testing and qualifying supervisor is the responsibility of ONE person

In this case Contractor (tester)and Electrical Supervisor (Qualifying Supervisor) are one and the same.  In this case the system will assume that the electrical  Design, Construction, Inspection & Testing of the electrical installation has been done by the person identified in the Basic Information page of the system

The result of this scenario will be that the DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, INSPECTION AND TESTING section of the certificate is completed using the one persons details:

SCENARIO  2-  Design, construction, inspection, testing and qualifying supervisor is the responsibility of MORE THAN ONE person

In this case a person needs to be assigned to the design, construction, inspection and testing by selecting them from the the basic information page.  A person must be selected in each of the design, construction, testing and qualifying supervisor sections .  In the resulting PDF each section will be populated with the relevant persons details:

In the basic information page the sections can be expanded by clicking on the >

Selecting a designer requires that a user has designer permissions, selecting a constructor requires that a user has contractor (CN) permissions.

In this case only CN and ES permissions are required.

In this case the selected designer must have designer permissions in order to be assigned as the designer.
