The sign of process for the New Installation Certificate is
described below. The sign of process for the new installation certificate is most complicated of the sign off processes, because it needs multiple signatories : the designer, the constructor, the installer and the qualifying supervisor. On the other hand the Minor Works certificates only requires the Tester. The Electrical Installation Condition Report requires the tester and the qualifying supervisor signatures.
The new installation sign of process is descibed below, the other sign off processes broadly follow the same steps but are much simpler.
One key point to remember is that when signing off a certificate it always requires 2 THINGS:
1) Click on the link on the e-mail and 2) Take an action in the EDIS portal. For example when the designer is signing off a new installation
design 1) they will receive an e-mail with a link to EDIS requesting a sign it off 2) they then need to click the link, l log into Edith and approve the sign off.
The 2 steps are for security and confirmation reasons.
