Download all distribution board data into a CSV file

Overview

EDIS allows for the Distribution Board Schedule data to be downloaded into a CSV file containing all board and circuits.  For larger estates the data can exceed 30,000 circuits, this should not be a problem but will require a reasonable PC to do further analysis.

This feature required Building Administrator permissions and some Excel knowledge will be useful.

  1. Login and select the Estate
  2. Navigate to the “Manage Compliance” option on the main menu
  3. Select Modify Compliance Plan
  4. Click the Reports button and select “Download CSV Circuit details of Testing due”
  5. This will download a zip file with a set of CSV files
  6. Open the CSV files and using excel Create a single file with all the details
  7. The result is a list of All Boards and Circuits in the Estate

This list can be used to analyse the data, for example:

a) Extract a list of boards

b) Identify specific circuit types

c) Search for key words

Key Points to Remember

  • The data downloaded is a list of circuits, so counting is based on the number of circuits
