We are pleased to announce a new feature requested by our power users. The feature simplifies the creation and management of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs). This enhancement allows electrical contractors to set and manage default values for key information in EICRs. In addition to the previously included default fields (Company, Building, and Responsible Person details), you can now set defaults for: - Purpose of the report
- Extent covered
- Agreed limitations
- Operational limitations
How to Use This New Feature 1. Set Up: Request the creation of EDIS Organisation for your company from support@electricalcertificates.co.uk (your company can have multiple organisations, e.g. one for each client). 2. Create and Edit: Enter and maintain default values to ensure accuracy and relevance over time. For detailed instructions, please refer to the User Guide. Key Benefits - Reduce Repetition: Set default values once to avoid repetitive data entry.
- Consistency: Ensure uniformity in the information provided, reducing errors and maintaining professional standards.
- Flexibility: Include detailed text in certificates with ‘block of text’ and ‘overflow’ text features.
By utilizing this feature, contractors will save time, ensure consistency, and enhance the accuracy of your EICRs. |
