EDIS is continually improved and enhanced, since the release of BS7671 18th edition EDIS has had 6 major releases.
Each release has improved the EDIS system for its stakeholders. Most of the features included in the releases are requested by our users. We hope these improve the EDIS experience and enable better, faster, quicker electrical certificates and compliance management.

When creating new EDIS certificates you will automatically be presented with the new format.
In addition to the BS 7671 2018 changes, additional features have been added to the system. For example, the organisation feature that improves contractor efficiency by allowing contractors to configure EDIS to meet their specific needs.

Fortunately, the electrical installation, condition report and minor works certificates are not widely different from the 17th edition models. The biggest change is in the Minor Works certificate where content has been moved around to highlight the 'presence and adequacy of earthing and bonding arrangements'.
