What is EDIS?

EDIS is an internet cloud based system that serves all stakeholders in meeting the electrical compliance challenge.

EDIS is used to manage electrical compliance across the estate. EDIS provides an integrated solution for ensuring electrical compliance - regardless of the number of buildings, geographic distribution or number of electrical contractors. EDIS provides a central web based repository - one version of the truth - for electrical certificates, distribution board schedules, electrical schematics, compliance status, next test dates and much more.

It provides a simple, convenient web based software to create, edit, store and recall all the information relating to electrical certificates and electrical installations. EDIS follows the requirements of British Standard BS 7671 "Requirements for electrical installations".

EDIS is is used to manage the electrical data in buildings, to control the collation and quality of electrical certificates and ensure continuity when key staff or contractors leave.

EDIS is used to manage electrical compliance across the estate. It is a web based service providing a single repository, easily accessible to all stakeholders - contractors, electricians, compliance managers and engineers.
All electrical records, certificates and reports are stored in the central repository - Changes and upgrades to the electrical infrastructure are recorded in electrical certificates by electricians and contractors who have been given access to the system. The certificates comply with the latest BS7671, 2008 amendment no.1. The data captured in the certificates is used to automatically store the certificates in pdf format, update distribution board schedules, capture next test dates for reporting and update the status of any remedial actions required.
